Property Sales
Selling your home or investment property? We provide advice before you sign any offer received, review the title and anything unusual about the property, and assist with conditions. If your mortgage loans are high, we can also assist in mortgagee negotiations. After the agreement is confirmed unconditional, we assist with the change of ownership of the property, repaying any mortgage loans, clearing any rates on the property, and generally ensure settlement day goes as smoothly as possible.
Getting Started?
Getting started? We recommend you engage with a real estate agent who works well in the local market and is a good communicator, check in with your bank if you have multiple mortgage loans, and have an early chat with us to discuss any conditions or disclosures you might need to raise. You should let us and your real estate agent know if you are planning to sell your home and buy another on the same day.
Pricing
When you engage us as your lawyers, we will provide you with a personalised cost estimate as early as possible so there are no surprises later on. We believe in fair, value-based pricing, and our pricing includes GST and disbursements so you don’t have to guess.

Common extras for property sales and purchases include:
- Preparing the purchase agreement (if there is no real estate agent involved)
- Early KiwiSaver withdrawals (for payment of the vendor deposit)
- Complex titles (such as unit titles and cross-leases)
- Dealing with any issues that may arise
- Buying or selling with a family trust
